Replacing a fixture at a spot that already has a box, and swapping a switch for a dimmer or smart switch at an existing switch, are everyday handyman jobs. Yes. Heavy chandeliers and two-story stairwell fixtures need a properly rated box and the right lift or ladder, both of which we bring. For very heavy pieces we confirm the box and bracing are rated for the weight before hanging.
Yes — swapping a standard switch for a dimmer or a smart switch at an existing switch location is a common add-on. We match the dimmer to your bulbs (LED-compatible) and set up smart switches on your Wi-Fi where they support it.
If there's an existing box or switch to work from, often yes. If it means running a new circuit or fishing new wire through a finished ceiling or wall, that's licensed-electrician work — we'll tell you honestly and can refer you to one.
